County Bridge Another shot of the old county bridge at the Pine Valley Mill. This particular bridge was built in the 1800's and replaced in 1917 with the existing granite arch bridge for $25,000.

New Foot Bridge Thanks to Bethany Dubeck of Milford for sending in this picture of the newer walking bridge in town. For those of you from out of town, this new bridge connects Keyes Field with the Boys & Girls Club, which is the former site of the American Stage Festival.

Manufacturing Canal I belive this is a picture from West Milford. Thanks to Chuck Worcester for the following information on this picture: This is taken "Pine Valley" near Hillsborough Mills. The bridge shown spans the "canal" which ran from the Dam to the mill and exited back into the river at the bend in the river at the North East end of the mill. The Canal is still there (yr.2006) and still moves water from the damthrough the mill and back to the river. Today the canal water runs through a huge culvert/pipe that is buried in the old canal bed. At last count it was used to power a hydro electrical plant located at the mill site. Two of the houses shown in the background still exist at the corner of Maple and North River Rd
