CycleLogic Thanks to Joseph Butler for sending in this picture.  Here are his comments: The man in this photo taken in 1981 is John Coleman, the owner of a bicycle shop called Cyclelogic. He first set up shop in the mid-seventies on South Street more or less across from Dyer's drugstore. The second location, pictured here, was on the same block as the brick Town Hall, I believe at the former location of Louie's Variety.

Autorama Motel Thanks to Jenny Radford for sharing this picture.  It is from a postcard for the Autorama motel here in Milford.  It appears to be in the building that once housed the Milford Police station prior to the construction of their current facility on Garden Street.

The French Bistro Here is a picture taken in December of 2005.  It shows the house just to the west of Bales school on Elm Street.  At the time, the restaurant was called The Frech Bistro.  In 2011, this space is now occupied by The Rustic Leaf Restaurant.

First NH Bank  - The Souhegan National Bank building in 1994 decorated for Milford's Bicentenial Celebration. By this time the bank had become First NH Bank. Thanks to Marian Blanchard Kopp for the snapshot.

Brick Block  - The Brick Block on South St. This building has housed numerous businesses for approx. the past 100 years. This building was built sometime between 1889 and 1913. I believe it was closer to 1889. It originally housed the Emerson Furniture Company.

Esso Station  - The Esso service station that once sat on Union Square. Today this is the site of Ralph's service station on the west side of Union Square. Thanks to Gordon Bowler for identifying the owners of the 3 vehicles in this picture: One was my Dads George Bowler 39 Chevrolet, the other two belong to Jack McGyuire & Bert Turner.

Fletcher's Paint  - An aerial shot of the old Fletcher's Paint Works. This shot was taken around 1996 when this was the Milford Consignment Outlet. It was taken from a helicopter ride at the High Hopes Balloon festival. Thanks to Ed Frankavitz (owner of MCO) for the picture.

French & Heald Furniture  - A shot of the French and Heald furniture manufacturing factory and their new fleet of trucks in 1946. This building sat where the current Edgewood plaza (County Stores) is. Thanks to Charles Guidmore of Milford (who worked there for 30 years) for the picture.

Granite Works  - Here's an old postcard labeled "Granite Works, Milford NH". Just a guess, but is this shot taken from the backside of Prospect hill looking toward what is now Longley Place? Is the red barn in the distance the same red barn that still sits on Power St. at the entrance to Longley Place? Your thoughts?

Hayward's Ice Cream  - Haywards Farms roadside restaurant. Closed and torn down in the early 1980's. The restaurant sat where Agway is today.

Treasury Construction  - Though this shot was not taken in Milford, it does have Milford ties. This picture and a series of many photos were sent in by Hobie Fletcher of Oceanside, CA. This photo shows the construction of the US Treasury building in Washington D.C. and the installation of the granite columns that were taken from Milford granite quarries. Treasury Post Card  - Though this shot was not taken in Milford, it does have Milford ties. This postcard and a series of many photos were sent in by Hobie Fletcher of Oceanside, CA. From Hobie: "The post card was sent by my great grandfather, Herbert Ellery Fletcher, to my grandfather, Harold Fletcher, when Harold was 18". The postcard reads: "The work we are doing here is that portion of this building marked with "They are now setting the new columns"

Mclane Manufacturing  - Another shot of the McLane Manufacturing building, also known as McLanes Mill. It was later known as the White Elephant shop. It is currently the site of Cumberland Farms. The original part of the building was built in 1847. The entire building burnt to the ground in a massive fire on a stormy and icy January 23rd in 1966. The glow from the flames could be seen as far as downtown Brookline.

Sugar 'N' Spice  - Back when this postcard came out this building was advertised as the Sugar -n- Spice, A delightful dining place and gift shop. This building still stands today on the north side of Amherst Street between Merrimack Rd. and North St. It later became the infamous Red Eye Tavern. Does anybody have any stories about this building or its establishments?

Tydol  - Here is a picture of the Tydol station at the corner of Amherst Street across from the Post Office. The Episcopal Church can be seen at the right and the former Governor McLane house can be seen where Brooks stands today. The McLane house was torn down in 1962. The Tydol station still stands today and has been many different names over the years.
